Separate listing and variation sheets

Spreadsheet editing now splits cleanly into two flows - a listing sheet for listing-level fields and a variations sheet for offer-level changes - so each file does one job and your edits land where you expect.

Two sheets, two jobs

Listing-level data and variation-level data are different shapes, and mixing them in one file is how edits go to the wrong place. Spreadsheet editing now uses two distinct flows: a listing sheet for listing fields like title, tags, price, section, and shipping, and a variations sheet for offer-level changes like per-variation price and quantity.

Clearer in, clearer out

Because each sheet maps to one level of your catalog, what you edit is what changes. The listing sheet doesn’t try to reason about individual variations, and the variations sheet doesn’t touch listing-wide fields - so there’s far less room to accidentally overwrite something you weren’t editing.

A mental model that holds up

This is as much about teaching the workflow as building it. “Listing fields go in the listing sheet, variation fields go in the variations sheet” is a rule sellers can keep in their heads, and the product now matches it exactly.
