Pricing Intelligence can now apply the price change
Pricing Intelligence has been advisory since launch: it told you which listings had gone stale and left the repricing to you. You can now apply a percentage reduction to one listing or many directly from the page, with variation price spreads preserved, a floor price, and a cooldown so the same listing is not flagged again the next morning.
The July 12 launch note said price changes stay in Bulk Edit. That is no longer true for changes you choose to apply through Quick Apply, and this entry supersedes that part of the earlier note.
What has not changed is the part that matters. Nothing fires on its own. There is no rule engine, no automation schedule, no background process that decides your prices are wrong and acts on it. You pick the percentage, you click the button, and a snapshot is taken before anything reaches Etsy, so the whole operation sits under Backup & Restore like every other bulk change. Competitors sell automatic repricing as the headline feature. We think handing an algorithm unsupervised write access to your prices is a strange thing to want.
The mechanics:
- You choose the discount percentage. Everlyst does not snap your price to a category average or a competitor’s number.
- On listings with variations, the reduction scales each offering individually, so a small at 18 and a large at 34 stay proportionally apart instead of collapsing to one flat price.
- Optional price floor and rounding ending, with a hard rule that neither can push an offering above what it cost before the reduction.
- After any price change, that listing enters a cooldown and stops being recommended for a period scaled to how stale it was. A listing you just cut does not reappear at the top of the list tomorrow asking to be cut again.
- Listings that have never sold now qualify for recommendations, using their creation date rather than a last-sold date that does not exist.
