Variations page: active-only view and searchable groups

Hide variation groups and values that only exist on inactive listings, search groups by property or option value, and step through groups one at a time.

Update recap for 2026-10-03.

Large shops collect a lot of variation history. Expired, deactivated, and sold-out listings keep their variation groups and option values, which can bury the ones you’re actually selling. Two additions to the Variations page help with that.

Active listings only. Turn this on above the workspace and the page shows only the groups and option values used by active listings. Value filters reset to all values for the new view. The setting is remembered in your browser and is off by default. If you’ve drafted changes on listings this view hides, Save still includes them, and the page tells you how many hidden listings have changes. If the group you had open has no active listings, Everlyst says so instead of leaving you on an empty grid.

Searchable group picker. Search groups by property name or by option value. Typing “Walnut” finds every group that offers it. Use Previous group and Next group to move through groups in order. Each group now shows how many of its listings are active as well as the total.

The listing status filter now includes Inactive and Sold out too. Groups still follow Etsy’s exact property names and order, so “Size” and “Sizes” stay separate. The variations guide explains why.
