Why it matters
Pricing questions on Etsy usually get answered by gut feel or by staring at competitors who may have completely different costs. Neither tells you whether your own catalog is internally consistent, or whether the listing that stopped selling is priced above everything around it.

Suppression over false confidence
A benchmark built on two listings is worse than no benchmark. Sections below a minimum cohort fall back to the shop-wide average, and when the whole shop is too small for a reliable comparison, the page suppresses the number rather than inventing one.

Benchmark within the shop
Listings are compared to their own shop section when it has enough active priced listings, and to the shop-wide average otherwise. Too little data means no comparison, by design.

Read the trend
The sale price trend shows the average sold price per month. It is labeled as sold price, not listed price, because that is what it is.

Change prices where changes belong
Recommendations are advisory. Acting on one takes you through Bulk Edit, with the same preview and job tracking as any other price change.
