Managing team members and permissions
Settings → Team → Invite member, enter their email, choose a role (Admin, Editor, or Viewer), and send. Invitees create their own Everlyst account and join your shop with the role you assigned. Team functionality is on Starter and Pro plans.
If your shop has a VA, a co-founder, or a part-time helper, give them their own Everlyst account instead of sharing a login. Each teammate gets their own credentials, audit trail, and role-based permissions.
Inviting a teammate
- Open Settings → Team.
- Click Invite member.
- Enter their email and pick a role (see roles below).
- Click Send invite.
The invitee gets an email with a sign-up link. They create their own Everlyst account (email + password) and automatically join your shop with the role you assigned.
Roles
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Admin | Everything: bulk edits, CSV uploads, billing, team management, disconnect shop. |
| Editor | Everything an Admin can do except billing, team management, and disconnecting the shop. |
| Viewer | Read-only. Can see listings, filters, analytics, and Backup & Restore history but cannot make changes. |
Role choice matters: Editors can run bulk operations that affect every listing, so this is who you trust to operate the shop, not necessarily who you trust with billing.
Changing a role or removing a teammate
- Settings → Team.
- Find the teammate.
- Click the role dropdown to change, or click Remove to revoke access.
Removing a teammate is immediate. They lose access to your shop instantly but keep their Everlyst account (they’ll just no longer see your shop in their workspace).
Audit trail
Every bulk operation, CSV upload, and Backup & Restore shows the teammate’s name and email in the job history. This is how you reconstruct who did what when something needs review.
Plan availability
| Plan | Team seats |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 (just you) |
| Basic | 1 |
| Starter | Up to 3 |
| Pro | Up to 10 |
Need more seats? Email [email protected] - we can do custom team sizing for larger operations.
Security notes
- Teammates cannot see your Etsy password (Everlyst doesn’t have it either - we use OAuth).
- Removing a teammate revokes only their Everlyst access. It does not affect Etsy account access - Etsy logins are separate.
- We recommend giving Editors and Viewers their own accounts rather than sharing credentials, so the audit trail is meaningful.
